On May 20-21, 2007 Path to Success! Program partners took part in the training  “Life Map”, conducted by Yuriy Tyushev, a trainer and consultant from 1A System Consulting, St. Petersburg.
Many of us at a certain stage of our development have  pondered about our life goals, or whether we have chosen the right profession, or about our calling. Do you remember how subject your ponderings were?  Did you design a specific plan of activities to achieve your goals? What did you dream about? Have your dreams always become achievable goals?
It turns out, that there is a wonderful technique of making a goal out of your dream, which works almost without a hitch. It helps young people make the process of searching for the sense of their lives and professional activities more conscious, and contributes to the development of responsibility for their lives and deeds. 14 NGO trainers from Primorskii and Khabarovskii krais, and Amurskaya oblast working on the "Path to Success!" program, Winrock International, got the opportunity to learn this technique. The training on professional and life self-orientation under a speaking title "Life Map" in which they participated on May 20-21, 2007, was on effective methods of goal-setting, and defining your life goal. It was also aimed at perfecting their training mastery and improving the culture of interactive education. The training was conducted by Yuriy Tyushev, a trainer and consultant from 1A System Consulting.

It is worth mentioning that the "Life Map" training was organized for the "Path" partners for the second time, so that those RFE NGO trainers who were not present at it last year, got the opportunity to be participate in this training. The information on the first training and the technique itself can be found in the fourth "Path to Success!" journal for 2006 (#4 (11)). You can also find the training methodology on professional self-orientation in the book by Yuriy Tyushev "Choice of Profession: Training of Teens." – St.Petersburg: Peter, 2006. ("Practical Psychology" Series.)
